Assault Prevention Consultants

Our Consultants, Instructors, and Assessors have received extensive training through a variety of professional organizations and/or have direct exposure to violence through careers in military, law enforcement, corrections or private security.

Assault Prevention has:

  • Provided consultation and instruction to 100+ federal, state and local Criminal Justice Agencies.
  • Provided consultation and instruction to 50+ private and non-profit organizations.
  • Provided personal protection for Executives, VIP’s, dignitaries, music and film celebrities.
  • Completed Threat Assessments for targeted individuals and groups.
  • Completed Vulnerability Assessments for corporations and organizations.
  • Provided individual and group instruction to citizen groups and civilians since 1990.
  • Since 1980, has provided public speaking engagements and presentations (see topics and courses) for national, regional and local interests.

Our Instructors, Assessors, and Threat Assessment Specialists must meet the following certification requirements to join the Assault Prevention team:

  • Must meet and pass all requirements set forth by State Statute for purchasing and possessing a firearm. This requirement will resolve criminal history and mental health issues.
  • Minimum age of 30 years.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must complete a state criminal history and records check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have significant previous experience in military, corrections, law enforcement or private security professions / or equivalent as determined solely by the owner or his designee.
  • Must successfully complete the Courses they intend to provide instruction in and the Instructor Certification Course.
  • Must complete the annual Assault Prevention Instructors Recertification Program.
  • Must maintain standards of exceptional honesty, character and integrity.

In addition, our Instructors must display a complete understanding of the following principles:

  • The definition of psychomotor skills.
  • The differences between gross, complex, and fine motor skills and their implications in the context of training.
  • Discrete, continuous, and serial skills and their implications in the context of training.
  • Open and closed skills and their implications in the context of training.
  • The types of motion and their implications in the context of training.
  • Affective skills.
  • The relationship between cognitive, affective, and motor skills and their implications in the context of training.
  • A thorough understanding of differentiated learning theories.
